Our Values and Commitments

Our Values

Grounded in Christ and Community

New life begins when we put our trust in Christ as our Lord and our Savior and become grounded in Him and in His church. Through fellowship with Christ and one another we find the love and wholeness that brings stability and meaning to our lives.

Growing in Wisdom and Character

We strive to teach clearly God’s truth found in the Bible, so that we might gain the strength and understanding to live and love effectively in all areas of our lives.

Giving in Love

Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. As Jesus freely gave himself to us, we likewise are called to freely give our time, talents and resources to bring His salvation and abundant life to others.

Our Commitments

Relevant Teaching

We’re a Bible-based church and we believe the Bible provides flawless guidance for everyday living, and the solution to everyday problems we encounter. Accordingly, we are committed to making these connections in our messages and other forms of teaching and communication.

Authentic Community

Although we are just a group of imperfect people, we strive to lead authentic lives and create an environment in which we can grow spiritually, and genuinely love and care for each other.

Equipping our Children

Growing up in today’s world is a temptation smorgasbord for kids: peer pressure urges then to engage in sex, experiment with drugs and alcohol, and other harmful behaviors. Our programs are fun and creative, but they’re designed to build a spiritual foundation that helps them make better choices as they encounter these forks in the road.

Strengthening Families

Family is the fundamental expression of community. We are committed to nurturing healthy marriages and families, and providing excellent ministries to aid parents, including single Moms and Dads, in raising their children to be followers of Jesus.

Serving those in need

We believe that serving others is not an option. Further, we believe in serving by hands-on involvement whenever possible. It’s in our DNA. Home Churches first try to care for those in need in their immediate neighborhoods. They also collaborate with other Home Churches and the Central Church to engage in larger projects that serve the needs of the community at large, and those less fortunate in foreign lands.
