Organizational structureIn brief, we have a two-part structure: a single Central church, and several small home churches. Our structure is actually an updated version of the original church model described in the Bible in the book of Acts (2:42). The primary distinctive that sets us apart from other contemporary Christian churches is that, like the early church, the foundation of our model is small Home Churches, groups of 15 to 20 people who meet weekly, typically in member homes. Further, in the early model, the Home Churches would all gather periodically in a city or area for a combined service. We do the same every Sunday morning. |
Leadership structureThe Central church will be led by a largely seminary-trained staff that will focus on producing the Sunday service, coordinating ministry activities, and providing oversight to the Home Churches. Home Church Leaders may not have seminary training, but must qualify as Elders in accordance with the standards set forth in the Bible in the book of 1Timothy (3). The Home Church leaders have the authority to appoint others in their group to assist in various internal ministry functions as required. |
