One unique aspect of Great Oaks Church is that we are actually a church composed of smaller churches of 10-20 adults (plus children in many cases) that meet together in homes. In many ways, a Home Church at Great Oaks is like a traditional village in the past – an organic, self directed community where we share life together, where everybody has a valued role, and where everybody knows your name.

In addition to home churches, we also meet on Sunday mornings for a service with contemporary worship and practical teaching (click here for more info on Sunday Services).

Home Churches provide a place where we can be honest, grow in faith, and build friendships. Home Churches meet weekly and are based on the model of the house church in the Bible. We begin

with a meal. We have a time of sharing what God is doing in our lives. We sing some songs, have an interactive learning time, and take  time to pray for the world, our community and one another.

But there's more. Home Churches are concerned with making a positive impact in the world. Each Home Church plans and carries out service events that make a real difference in the lives of the people in our area. Home Church are communities that share life and work together to bring positive change in our world.
